How do I enrol my child into Wembley Downs Primary School?

Accepted Answer

The first step is to fill out an Application Form which can be found on our Enrolment page or visit the school office to pick one up.
 
You will need to provide your child's birth certificate, updated Immunisation details, proof of your address and if both parents are born out of Australia, Visa details or an Australian Citizenship Certificate for the child.
 
If you only have originals of these documents we can photocopy them for you.

Question 2

When can I enrol my child for Kindergarten?

Accepted Answer

Your child can be enrolled for Kindergarten from the end of Term 2 the year before they are due to start.  Please complete an Application Form and include copies of the Birth Certificate, Immunisation, proof of your address (with your name on it, eg, utility bill or drivers licence). Applications for the next year usually close end of July.

Question 3

Can I apply straight to the school if I am on a full fee paying visa eg, Student or visitor?"

Accepted Answer

No. The first step is to get in contact with TIWA (Tafe International WA) on 
9218 2100 or go to their website  https://www.tafeinternational.wa.edu.au/
 
Once you have filled out their forms you may nominate what schools you would like to enrol in. A request will then be sent to the schools nominated, if accepted you will be notified to make contact with the school to proceed with the enrolment process.

How do I let the school know of an absence.

Please log your child's absence via the Compass app.
 
If you are going on a vacation during school time, please email the school wembleydowns.ps@education.wa.edu.au to let us know.
