WDPS Parents & Citizens Association

Welcome to the Wembley Downs Primary School P&C webpage and thanks for taking the time to find out more about us!

The Wembley Downs Primary School (WDPS) P&C is an active group of parents and carers who are committed to representing and supporting the whole school community. We are passionate about building a strong, connected, and inclusive environment for our families.

Our Objectives

We have three main objectives as a P&C:

  • To provide opportunities for connection and engagement across our community, building friendships and a strong sense of belonging.

  • To work closely with the school administration, staff, and teachers to support their mission and vision, provide community feedback, and maintain a collaborative working relationship.

  • To deliver events and activities that raise funds for projects and resources that enhance the learning and social experience of our students.

We encourage parents, carers, and students to get involved in any way that suits them, and to participate in the many events and activities held throughout the year.

Stay Connected

There are several ways to stay informed and up to date with P&C activities:

  • Download the Flexischools app to order from the Uniform Shop, Canteen, and events.
Visit www.flexischools.com.au or search Flexischools in your app store.

  • Your Class Rep will share updates via class WhatsApp groups. If you are a Class Rep, please ensure you have access to the P&C Class Rep WhatsApp community.

  • Follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/wembleydownsprimaryschoolpc

  • To have something featured on our platforms, please send photos and a short description to communications@pc.wembleydownsps.wa.edu.au

  • Look out for regular updates in the school newsletter.

  • Say hello in person, we’re always happy to chat!

Recent Contributions

In recent years, the P&C has contributed to several key projects and initiatives, including:

  • Supporting the funding of school computer leases, helping reduce the need for families to supply individual devices.

  • Contributing to the Community Fund, ensuring all students can access camps, excursions, and uniforms regardless of financial circumstances.

  • Funding new decodable readers for early years students.

  • Purchasing a new sound system and television to enhance assemblies and whole-school events.

  • Upgrading and installing shade sails across the school grounds.

Uniform Shop

The WDPS Uniform Shop is run onsite by P&C volunteers. It is open four times per term, and online orders can be placed via the Flexischools app. Orders are delivered to classrooms within approximately one week.

For enquiries, email: uniformshop@pc.wembleydownsps.wa.edu.au

Opening times are displayed on the Uniform Shop door (next to the school admin office).

Kookas Canteen

Our P&C run canteen operates on Wednesdays and Fridays. Orders can be placed online via Flexischools or at the canteen hatch before 8:45am.

Volunteers are always welcome and greatly appreciated. Each class is rostered at least once per term, but additional help is always needed.

  • Morning shift: 9:00–10:00am (order preparation)

  • Lunch shift: 12:00–1:00pm (packing orders)

Check the school newsletter or the canteen noticeboard for your class roster.

Getting Involved

We’d love to have you involved in the P&C! You can join as a general member or take on a specific role, such as Events Coordinator. We also welcome volunteers for events like the school disco, cake stalls, and raffles.

To get involved in any capacity, please email: president@pc.wembleydownsps.wa.edu.au

P&C meetings are held twice per term, usually on Tuesdays in Weeks 3 and 7 from 6:30-8:00pm in the Staff Room. Meeting reminders are shared in the school newsletter and on Facebook.

If you have questions, suggestions, or feedback, feel free to speak with any committee member or email:
